Dementia Assistive Technology Project aims to develop the use of technological responses that will enable clients with dementia to remain within their community (either at home or within non-specialist residential care) by:

Improving quality of life for people with dementia and their carers
Enabling independence by compensating for difficulties
Maintaining safety

The equipment can either be stand alone, e.g. pressure mats, or can link in with the existing Community Alarm system, e.g. door monitors or smoke and gas detectors.
